Amethyst Productions is delighted to promote the musical group LAWS OF ONE in their
interprétation of the song “Creep” (originally composed by Radiohead), handling all aspects of
radio tracking and promotional efforts related to this release. We are pleased to present it to
you today in the form of a press release. This adaptation is truly exceptional—it remains faithful
to the original while immersing us in a darker, more melancholic universe. Both the vocal and
instrumental performances are remarkably executed.
Here’s a brief overview of the band’s history:
Laws of One’s musical journey began in the 1980s in Montreal, Canada—considered the
birthplace of the group.
Formed by five highly talented musicians in their twenties, they began
to make a name for themselves on the club scene throughout Eastern Canada. They paid tribute
to artists such as Bowie, Simple Minds, Tears For Fears, and others who were an endless
source of inspiration for them. By the mid-1980s, the band transitioned from playing covers to
exploring their own musical ideas. With this goal in mind, they started writing original material
and recording demos to promote their songs.
It didn’t take long before they caught the
attention of James Fotheringham, then A&R director at RCA Records. Within months, Laws of One
signed a deal with RCA. In the following months, they recorded in various studios, traveling
between provinces to shape their sound.
“We’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with many passionate and talented artists. We will
always be grateful for that, as it has contributed to our personal musical growth and
appreciation of all music styles.”
For Savino and JC, who shared a creative vision from the very beginning as songwriters, the
idea of reviving Laws of One in early 2023—a project they had started and nurtured—was a
persistent dream. A desire untouched by time, seasons, or even continents... A long-standing
will, finally ready to materialize.
After successfully gaining radio airplay for three original tracks—“Do I Do Love You,” “Father
Should I Believe?” and “Story Eyes (Angel, my Angel)”—the band decided to offer a
reinterpretation of “Creep.” This powerful reimagining is sure to resonate with your listeners.
A word from "Laws of One":
“A timeless piece—both lyrically and melodically—Radiohead’s Creep needs no introduction. We
simply felt compelled to dive in and revisit it…”
